The Challenges

Managing complex medical data involves designing a system that allows for the smooth organization of diverse and interconnected data. Another challenge was monitoring health conditions. We focused on developing tools that alert users when health indicators deviate from safe ranges. Data security and privacy were also a challenge; we used robust encryption and access controls to meet stringent privacy standards. Finally, ensuring usability was a challenge, requiring a seamless experience that keeps advanced features accessible.

Discovery & Analysis

The project began with a thorough review of the client's documentation and requirements. We analyzed the US medical document management landscape, identifying pain points in fragmented health records. A significant part of this phase involved UI/UX work, where we designed multiple interface concepts to ensure the app would be intuitive for users dealing with complex medical forms.

Requirements Gathering

The client presented an extensive list of desired features and business objectives that would create a comprehensive health management ecosystem. Our role was to carefully evaluate these requirements and distinguish between essential core functionalities and features that, while valuable, could be deferred to future phases.

Key Findings

Our analysis revealed that the client's initial scope was too complex for a single release. We identified that the primary user needs a centralized solution for medical documents scattered across various providers. We recommended an MVP approach that would enable faster market entry while allowing for real-world user validation before expanding the feature set.
